Air Source Heat Pumps
How does an air source heat pump system work?
Air source heat pumps work like a fridge in reverse extracting wasted heat in the air which is then used to heat water. It works by moving heat - not converting electricity into heat. The air source heat pump systems we install are up to 400% efficient as they actually provide up to four units of heat for every one unit used to power the system.
Applications
Air source heat pumps are ideal for installation in busy commercial kitchens in restaurants, pubs and takeaways as they extract heat from hot areas utilising this for heating water while returning cooler air. This way you can keep your staff cool while slashing your gas bill.
In domestic installations air source heat pumps are a preferable replacement for oil based heating systems as well as where there is no mains gas supply or suitable location for a gas flue.
The system can be combined with an under floor heating system and/or a solar hot water heating system. We can recommend utility companies that can provide 100% of your electricity needs from renewable energy sources providing your building's heating, cooling and electricity requirements with zero carbon emissions.
