Mr Olin lives in a modern 4 bedroom detached house in Sussex. He purchased from Rayotec a 1.62kW system for his grandchildren's future. He said:
...I had initially thought of solar thermal panels, however, this wouldn't make much sense as there is usually only one person to use the hot water, whereas what electricity I don't use can feed into the grid. Also it is quite an exposed area - I would loathe to consider wind turbine due to possible nuisance to my neighbour.
We asked Mr Olin how he found the installation team and how he found living with solar and he responded:
They were very considerate and as far as I could tell, highly efficient. There is no problem with living with solar - except for the frequent trips to the meter in order to gloat! It has hardly been the sunniest since the system was installed (15th Dec 09) but the system has so far been producing nearly half of the electricity consumed!
Finally we asked Mr Olin why he chose to work with Rayotec and how he found working with Rayotec and he told us:
The clincher was that the other people from whom I asked a quote responded simply by checking on satellite photo. I find it reassuring that Rayotec was thorough enough to send someone out in person to check the site and offer explanations and advice. I have no grumble at all working with Rayotec - your installation team, including scaffolding team and Sunbury office were helpful and pleasant.
Thank you Mr Olin for such positive feedback.
