Mr and Mrs Petts live in a detached 2 bedroom bungalow in Beaconsfield, Bucks. They purchased 2 evacuated solar collectors due to the rising fuel costs and considered that installing solar would enable them to reduce their bills.
We asked Mr & Mrs Petts how they find living with solar and they told us:
It has been simple and easy to use with minimum thought i.e. activated automatically – it is activated by daylight and the effect intensifies with direct sunlight. As a rule we have hot water for around six months of the year, from April until September and as a rule only need to top it up with the boiler from October until March. Although the actual tank temperature varies during the summer it is often between 70–75°C. Yes it does produce the amount of energy we had expected and looked for with a top up by the boiler in the winter.
They chose to work with Rayotec as they felt that we offered a modern method of heating panel which was sold at a realistic price. The installation team were said to be very efficient, considerate, clean and with minimum disruption.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Petts, we are glad to hear that you are benefiting so much throughout the year!
